Teaching Assistant

Support teachers in delivering lessons as designated according to the school’s syllabus.
- Assist in the preparation, execution, and evaluation of secondary curriculum materials based on the objectives of the school.
- Help document and monitor students’ performance, including tracking attendance, assessments, and progress.
- Support the well-being of students and help motivate them to achieve their learning goals.
- Help maintain a high standard of student engagement, progress, and behavior during lessons to facilitate effective learning.
- Attend parent information sessions, parent/teacher meetings, and other relevant meetings as needed to support the teaching staff.
- Assist in preparing lesson materials and keep accurate and current records of assigned work (including homework checks).
- Use digital technology and tools as directed to support learning and student progress.
- Undertake reasonable and specific responsibilities within the school as requested by teachers or school leadership.
- Provide support and assistance to colleagues and students as reasonably required from time to time.
- Help develop and organize appropriate syllabi resources, schemes of work, marking policies, and teaching strategies as guided by teaching staff.
- Help plan and prepare learning resources and activities in line with school policy on the implementation of Assessment for Learning.
**Requirements**:
- Minimum qualification: Diploma or equivalent (Degree in Education or related field is an advantage).
- Prior experience in an educational setting is preferred.
- Proficient in spoken and written English.
- Basic knowledge of classroom management and instructional support techniques.
- Comfortable using digital tools and educational technology to support learning.
- Patient, approachable, and enthusiastic about supporting students’ learning and well-being.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with students, teachers, and parents.
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a team and follow directions from teaching staff.
- Organized, reliable, and capable of maintaining accurate records and managing multiple tasks.
- Willing to participate in school events, meetings, and professional development as required.
Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM1,700.00 per month
