**Position Summary**:

- This is a hands on position, that provides technical expertise and oversees and participates in the maintenance, repair, and improvement of facility equipment. This equipment includes facilities, machinery, buildings, material handling equipment, safety and security systems (hereinafter referred as Equipment). The position must be proficient in supporting new CAPEX project. This position will also be required to support after hours emergency response activities on an as needed basis.

**Responsibilities**:

- Performs regularly scheduled preventative maintenance on equipment including chillers, air compressor, main switch board and firefighting equipment. Reviews preventative maintenance tasks for effectiveness and frequency and recommends any continuous improvement changes or Lean practices for implementation to management.
- Plans and coordinates resources and materials for any planned and unplanned repairs of the Equipment and ensures all documentation for planned and unplanned Equipment maintenance is completed properly.
- Can be available to respond to maintenance calls off shift if assistance is needed and must be available for overtime as needed.
- Monitor contractors performing the maintenance task in safe, effective and order manners.
- Maintaining shop tools, critical spare part, and keeping the workshop tidy.
- Adheres to, trains on, and enforces safety practices such as Lockout/Tagout and proper use of PPE by him/herself.
- Contributes in a team effort by performing in accordance to all STERIS policies, GMP, Lean principles and other directives.
- Support LEAN Continuous Improvement initiatives.
- Acts as a back-up in the absence of the Plant Engineer.

**Requirements**:

- High School Diploma or Malaysian Skill Certificate (SKM).
- 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in electrical, mechanical, utilities, facilities maintenance.
- Those with AO chargeman or PW4 wireman certification would have added advantage.
- Prefer to have firefighting system monitoring experience.
- Computer literate
- Willing to be on call for ad hoc and scheduled maintenance.
- Preferably Non-Executive specialized in Engineering - others or equivalent.

**Salary**: RM1,500.00 - RM3,500.00 per month

**Education**:

- Malaysian Special Skills Certificate (preferred)

**Experience**:

- mechanical/electrical engineering maintenance: 2 years (preferred)

License/Certification:

- AO Chargeman or PW4 Wireman certificate (preferred)
