Position Title : Supervisor cum Forklift Driver Department : Operations Branch : Penang REPORTING STRUCTURE 1. Reports to Project Coordinator 2. Subordinates direct report - 2.2 Lorry Driver 2.2 Schedule Waste Technician JOB DESCRIPTION & SCOPE 1.0 Job Execution - Responsible to lead, coordinate, plan and execute scheduled waste jobs to ensure they are completed in a timely and safe manner. - To monitor employees follow the procedure and SOP as per plan. - Ensure daily toolbox meeting conducted and brief job scope to manpower. - Ensure manpower in proper PPE e.g. (Tyvek, safety jacket, safety shoes, safety helmet, safety glass, respirator, dust mask, nitrile gloves, rubber coated gloves). - To check all equipment, consumable and tools are available and sufficient. - To monitor team to perform daily scheduled waste tank inspection, documentation and record purpose. - To monitor team to perform daily schedule waste tank drain line/pumps/ancillary equipment inspection and documentation. - To monitor team to perform daily scheduled waste store review. - To monitor team to perform a compaction for solid scheduled waste. - To conduct weekly scheduled waste store inspection and documentation. - To monitor team to keep track and ensure up-to-date the scheduled waste inventory. - Ensure proper waste storage and labelling. - Ensure all scheduled waste containers are closed at all time. - To monitor weigh the received schedule waste and ensure weighing scale is calibrated. - To ensure transfer liquid scheduled waste to proper containers. - To ensure available spill kit and prepare for clean-up activities. - To make sure safe loading and unloading activity at all time. - To ensure perform waste sampling. - To ensure proper handling scheduled waste. - To ensure plan and coordinate scheduled waste shipment date. - Ensure all employees prepare for clean-up activities. 1.1 Job Support and Troubleshooting - Discuss problems on the project and prepare recommendations. - Discuss and adjust and amended schedule. - Discuss and get management’s approval for any additional resources required for complete the job. 1.2. Handling of Forklift - Loading, unloading, shipping, and receiving warehouse items. - Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. - Inspecting for damages to vehicles. - Scheduling vehicles for maintenance and repairs. - Locating and moving stock of products to pallets or crates for storage or shipment. - Identifying damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies. - Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs. 1.3 Administration - Ensure all personnel compliance to all mandatory and competency training and coordinate with HR Department. - Ensure all documentation based on local regulatory requirements - e.g. (Schedule Waste Inventory, Waste Store Inspection Checklist, PPE Inspection Checklist). - All routine basis for scheduled waste inventory and required to send report to DOE e.g. (e-consignment note) in accordance with regulation 8 under the Environmental Quality (Scheduled Waste) Regulations 2005. - Ensure documentation to DOE is completed and closed in the eSWIS within 30 days of the shipment. - Ensure personnel project time management. - Promote teamwork. - Coordinate with manufacturing and procurement to prepare equipment, consumable and tools. - To update HR Department for attendance record. - Ensure UAUC are recorded. Qualifications Requirement - Typically requires a minimum of 3 years of related experience and High School diploma/certificate or equivalent. Prefer in Chemical / Environmental Engineering or equivalent. - Proven work experiences in process and process-related facility / plant operations. - Minimum 2 years experience as supervisor or in project, preferably in environmental industries. - Excellent knowledge in MS-Office, MS-Project (or equivalent). - Good communication skills with confidence to deal with client. - Good demonstrated commitment to safe working practices - Strong mindset in Health, Safety, Security and Environmental. - Ability to work as a team with a proactive approach to dealing with clients.
