PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITY
Responsible for carrying out the daily preventive maintenance work, servicing, repair, modifying parts on all available machines and equipment in the plant, performing routine jobs to ensure machine reliability and in good condition, as well as to attend all adhoc machines breakdown cases.
GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Attend adhoc machine breakdown case and repair jobs
2. Perform troubleshooting on machines during breakdown, diagnose equipment faulty and report to superior.
3. Participate in special projects work involving fabrication of metal parts on minor jobs such as jigs and fixture.
4. Prepare preventive maintenance and machine utilisation report to immediate superior for the daily administration of plant equipment.
5. Monitor and prepare machine performance report after servicing or major overhaul.
6. Inform immediate superior of current progress and or any possible problems.
7. Liaise with mechanical, production and quality control personnel to achieve production continuity and quality.
8. Carry out preventive, breakdown and shutdown maintenance as per schedule.
9. Minimise breakdown and participate in the cost saving programme.
10. Upkeep and maintain individual small parts inventory, tools and equipment allocated.
11. To wear or use at all times any protective equipment or clothing provided by the Company for the purpose of preventing risks to your safety and health.
12. To take reasonable care for the safety and health of yourself and other persons who may be affected by your acts or omissions at work.
13. To cooperate and comply with any instruction, measure, duty or requirement imposed on the employer or any other persons in the discharge of any duty on occupational safety or health instituted by or under the Occupational Safety and Health Act or any other related regulation.

SPC's export close to 50% of its products to various countries such as USA, Australia, Vietnam, Taiwan and Singapore, etc. The company continues to explore new markets in order to further increase its production and also improve cost efficiency.

The company had obtained certification from Sirim for ASTM, MS, BS standard for all its products. For export market, it has obtained The Australasian Certification Authority for Reinforcing and Structural Steels (ACRS) for export to Australia and New Zealand. SPC complied with OHSAS 18001, ISO 14001 and ISO9001 Sirim Standard. It products are in compliance with CIBD Malaysia Standard on construction material manufacturing.
