Job Summary:
To manage the Reservations Department/Service Centre within Front Office, all tasks, implement and supervise all SOPs are adhered to, supervise the Reservations team to respond to all enquiries, bookings efficiently and accurately, support Front Office Senior Management and Duty Managers for operations when required. The ARM is required to manage room inventory and availability, using Opera, Siteminder and various 3rd party partners Intranets, etc. In this role, your duties are to train new staff on various SOPs related directly and indirectly to the Reservations Department, Front Office, Hotel SOPs, delegate tasks and monitor the work performance of the Reservations staff.

We seek suitably qualified Malaysians for the position of:

- **Assistant Reservation Manager (Fulltime)**

Job Responsibilities:

- Ensure all required rate codes are correctly used and maintained for each room type / market segment / sub segment for accurate room night production reporting and monitoring of Sales / Reservations performance.
- Maximize room ARR through various rooms inventory booking assignment management strategies to ensure maximum number of rooms may be sold daily.
- To ensure all arrivals, cancellation, group bookings are processed efficiently and accurately.
- To ensure and co-ordinate all valid FIT as well as group bookings are loaded into the system, correspondence is accessible and contracts complete and understood.
- Request group final status within the cut off time as agreed in the contract; amend appropriate blockings to enable accurate occupancy management.
- Establish a system of control of all incoming and outgoing correspondence and allocate work according to priorities.
- To ensure and Update rooming list and relevant reservation information.
- Check daily arrivals report and ensure all RG, VRG, VIP, No of stays for RG & VRG are highlighted with any special requests, or welcome amenities recorded for follow up action.
- Ensure Hotel Website Booking process is maintained up to date and functional.
- Independently implements appropriate hotel inventory distribution strategy; maintains accurate rates and inventory allotments in the Chanel Manager and property PMS in a timely manner to promote rate parity throughout all booking channels.
- Loads all preferred, consortia and promotional rates in GDS and PMS.
- Spearheads troubleshooting and resolution of any Chanel Manager rate loading issues as they occur.
- Maintains a close working relationship with all the other departments with respect to special requirements and request of bookings
- To ensure systematic filling procedure in place and to be followed.
- Having knowledge of entire Reservation Procedure according to hotel system.
- Handling of correspondences, sorted - out LOU, supporting document, payment slip which are allocate daily tasks to Reservations staff.
- To competently manage OTA Intranets inventory, rates based on rooms occupancy /sales strategies.Responsible to check /update /reconcile OTAs invoice /statement monthly.
- Knowledgeable in hotel and guest room facilities/services and ensures reservations agents are equally knowledgeable.
- Monitoring Telephone / Live Chat Manner, accurate responses to all enquiries and general performance of reservations staff daily.

Job Requirements:

- Minimum SPM / Diploma holder.
- At least 4 years’ experience in handling reservations with good understanding of 4-star hotel operations.
- Used to handle larger hotels with room capacities above 200.
- Preferably those with some exposure in service industry and some experience in organizing small events.
- Good command in written and spoken English & Bahasa Malaysia.
- Chinese Language skill is an advantage.
- Able to maintain & strengthen the relationship with customers.
- Pleasant personality with good negotiating and presentation skills.
- Good teamwork spirit, pro-active, independent & passionate with his/her job.
- Willing to work long hours when required.
- Computer literate

Pay rate:

- RM3000 + EPF + SOCSO
