**Key Responsibilities**

- Manage the full procurement lifecycle, including vendor sourcing, selection, and evaluation.
- Oversee the preparation and review of contracts, purchase orders, and bid documents to ensure compliance with legal and institutional requirements.
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and negotiate favorable terms, including pricing, delivery schedules, and service agreements.
- Monitor market trends to identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
- Ensure all procurement activities adhere to ethical practices, applicable laws, and university policies.
- Collaborate with academic and administrative departments to understand and fulfill their procurement needs.
- Supervise and mentor procurement staff, providing guidance on best practices and professional development.
- Generate and analyze procurement reports to support strategic decision-making and ensure transparency.

**Education & Experience**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Experience in a higher education, public sector, or non-profit organization is highly desirable.

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Strong knowledge of procurement practices, contract management, and regulatory compliance.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, with experience in ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
- Commitment to ethical procurement practices and sustainability initiatives.
- Professional certification such as Certified Professional in Supply Management (CPSM) or Certified Purchasing Manager (CPM) is a plus.
