**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- Oversee and monitor overall month end closing (MEC) activities and period closing. Ensure completeness and timeliness
- Review Monthly Balance sheet and P&L fluctuation Analysis
- Preparation of month end reporting package, adhering to corporate deadlines (including SOX compliance reporting)
- Prepare or review manual journals and balance sheet reconciliations
- Drive strong SOX and internal control compliance in country. Ensure solid control documentation is developed and maintained, and key process owners are educated about internal controls
- Identify potential control issues and proactively mitigate gaps
- Provide consultation to the business teams on new business initiatives to ensure right accounting treatment and adequate internal controls are in place
- Recommend improvement to general accounting activities so as to ensure compliance with governmental and organizational procedures and policies, and to also ensure the most efficient and effective operations
- Enable roll-out of corporate policies, processes and systems initiatives to the countries
- Lead and own annual statutory audits for timely completion, with effective management of audit fees
- Work closely with regional tax team on tax returns and any other significant tax compliance issues

**Skills, and/or Abilities Required**
- Analytical skills within a finance environment
- Ability to work in a fast environment, take initiative, and be self-managed
- Exceptional verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
- Logical thinking with creative problem-solving ability
- The ability to work well with others across diverse cultures and to work under stress
- A good capacity to understand the business needs and great attention to detail

- Professional integrity - Strong work ethic, the highest standards of quality, transparency and honesty

**Knowledge and Background**
- Professional qualification or a Degree in Accounting
- At least 8-10 years' experience in accounting or controllership
- JDE (Oracle) knowledge and advanced user in Excel
- Proven US GAAP knowledge/ experience would be an asset
- Proficient in SOX and internal control frameworks
- Competencies in preparation of financial statements (full sets of accounts);
