**About us**:
Arus Academy is an education social enterprise specializing in creating high quality education solutions for students and teachers in Malaysia. Arus is constantly searching for ways to make education more accessible and impactful through systemic and ground-up approaches. We advocate for five main literacy areas, which are STEAM education, financial literacy, media and information literacy, social and emotional learning, and global citizenship education. In our mission to empower today’s problem solvers, we have been running year long school programmes with students from Buku Jalanan Chow Kit.

**Responsibilities based on Objectives**:

- **Assist team in creating powerful video documentary**To support the production team in the creation of compelling and informative documentaries.

Be prepared to troubleshoot unexpected issues that may arise during production and offer creative solutions.
- **Support the video production team**Provide on-set support by setting up equipment, handling props, and assisting with lighting and sound setups.

Ensure the availability of necessary equipment, props, and supplies during filming.
Organize and maintain digital and physical files, including footages, documents and equipment.
Manage production shooting schedules, booking accommodations, and equipment rental.
Support the post-production team by assisting with video editing, motion graphics, and sound editing tasks as needed.
Collaborate in reviewing rough cuts and providing feedback for improvements.

**Key Measure of Success**:

- Quality of video must be kept at its highest level. This includes factors such as sharpness, composition, lighting, color grading and overall visual appeal. High-quality visuals are essential for client satisfaction and audience engagement.
- Demonstrating proficiency in operating video equipment, including cameras, audio recording devices and editing software.
- Consistently delivering videos on time and within agreed-upon deadlines.
- The ability to bring creative and innovative ideas to video projects is highly valuable.

**Key Results**:

- Complete at least 2 videos that are 3 minutes long each per month.
- Consistently meet project deadlines, delivering videos on time and within agreed-upon timelines.
- Increase audience engagement metrics, such as views, likes, shares and comments on Arus Academy Youtube Channel.

**Expected skills**:

- **Competency in the following video editing & graphic design software**:Adobe Premiere Pro/Davinci Resolve

Adobe After Effects
Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and Lightroom
- **Video editing and graphic design skills**Able to edit videos that puts emphasis on storytelling as the main factor of the videos.

Able to edit offline and online video editing.
Able to understand the basics of video editing concepts.
Able to design visually pleasing social media content.
- **Video production skills**Proficient in camera operation (especially in Sony A6/A7 Series) and their settings.

Familiarity with different lenses, tripods, stabilizers, and other relevant equipment.
Ability to set up and configure audio recording equipment, including microphones and recorders.
Understanding of lighting techniques and the ability to set up and control lighting for different shooting environments.
Strong grasp of composition principles, framing, and visual storytelling.
Understanding of video formats, codecs and aspect ratios.
Knowledge of video production workflows, from pre-production to post-production.
- **Storytelling Skills**:Ability to conceptualize and storyboard ideas for video projects.

Strong narrative and storytelling skills to convey messages effectively through visuals.
- **Strong communication skills, both written and oral**Able to quickly and easily express oneself in a way that's also easy for netizens to comprehend.
