**Job Scope of a Cashier Cum Admin: Cashier Responsibilities**:
- **Handling Transactions**:
- Process cash, credit, and debit card payments for customers.
- Issue receipts, refunds, or change to customers as needed.
- Verify cash drawer amounts at the beginning and end of each shift, ensuring accurate cash counts.
- **Managing Cash Flow**:
- Monitor cash levels in the register and ensure the proper amount is always available for change.
- Deposit cash at the end of the day or shift and prepare reports on daily financial transactions.
- **Recording Sales and Transactions**:
- Accurately log sales transactions in the system and maintain detailed records of daily transactions.
- Ensure that all financial records and reports are properly documented and organized.
- **Handling Customer Payments and Inquiries**:
- Answer customer inquiries regarding payments, product prices, and services.
- Assist with processing refunds, returns, or exchanges according to company policy.
**Administrative Responsibilities**:
- **Data Entry and Record Keeping**:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of sales, invoices, and financial transactions in the company’s system.
- Organize and manage both physical and electronic filing systems for easy access and retrieval of financial documents.
- **Invoicing and Payment Processing**:
- Prepare and send invoices to clients or vendors as necessary.
- Process and record incoming payments, ensuring all transactions are properly documented in financial software.
- **Office Supplies and Inventory Management**:
- Monitor stock levels of office supplies and reorder as necessary.
- Ensure that inventory levels for cash register supplies (e.g., receipt paper, cash envelopes) are adequately maintained.
- **Assisting with Basic Bookkeeping**:
- Support the finance team with basic bookkeeping tasks, such as recording transactions and reconciling accounts.
- Help track and manage petty cash, ensuring it is accurately documented.
- **Front Desk and Customer Service Support**:
- Assist with customer inquiries related to products, services, or payments.
- **Scheduling and Administrative Support**:
- Help schedule appointments or meetings, and ensure that all necessary preparations are in place.
- Assist in organizing company events, meetings, or functions, including preparing financial reports or tracking expenses.
- **Travel and Accommodation Arrangements**:
- Assist with booking travel and accommodation for employees or managers, ensuring that payment and logistics are handled smoothly.
- **Compliance with Financial and Office Policies**:
- Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and procedures.
- Maintain the confidentiality of sensitive financial and administrative information.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
- **Numerical Accuracy**:
- Strong ability to handle and process numerical data accurately, particularly when handling cash, payments, and transactions.
- **Organizational Skills**:
- Ability to prioritize tasks, maintain organized records, and manage time efficiently.
- **Communication Skills**:
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, staff, and vendors.
- **Attention to Detail**:
- High attention to detail when managing financial transactions, data entry, and administrative tasks to avoid errors.
- **Proficiency in Financial Software**:
- Experience using cash registers, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and financial management software like SQL Accounting, Microsoft Excel, or other accounting tools.
- **Customer Service Skills**:
- Ability to provide excellent customer service by addressing customer questions, complaints, or concerns in a professional manner.
- **Trustworthiness and Integrity**:
- Handling cash and financial transactions requires a high level of trust, ensuring that all transactions are processed with honesty and transparency.
Pay: From RM1,800.00 per month
