**APPLICATION ARCHITECT**

**Purpose of Role**

The Application Architect provides both the technical leadership and accountability for the overall success of the implementation team’s efforts including architecture, design, development, testing, and deployment for the business solution.

This role requires an in-depth understanding of the PNB’s businesses, operating model and business challenges, together with the technology available for creating a fully integrated and successful business solution.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
- As part of the Application Development and Business Architecture team.
- Able to translate PNB’s functional and system requirements into infrastructure requirement specifications.
- Liaise with Infrastructure Solution Architect to research, evaluate, and recommend systems, equipment and technologies based on PNB's functional and system requirements.
- Assist in the sizing and planning of large-scale complex and geographically dispersed enterprise infrastructure systems through design, vendor comparison and cost studies.
- Review the project scope, direction, and status to ensure that the Application Development teams' infrastructure and environment requirements are on track towards a successful implementation of the PNB solutions/systems.
- Understand the information security implications of the solutions and undertake proactive measures to ensure compliance with the Information Security policies and processes.
- Draft technical designs, engineering plans, and other systems integration related documents
- Perform planning, installation, customization, and testing of proposed solution.
- Proactively monitor computing platforms for performance issues, and respond within strict time frames and escalate incidents that are determined to be infrastructure related according to incident handling guidelines.
- In charge of CI/CD
- Design, research, evaluate, and recommend systems.
- Resource planning.
- Managing DevOps team.
- Release management.

**Qualifications**
- A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Management Information Systems or related field.
- Certified IT Architect or have attended IT Architecture training is a value added.
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in the Financial Sector, preferably in investment and unit trust.
- Minimum 8 years of experience working in IT Architect role in a large, complex organization preferably in the financial sector.
- Strong programming skills using J2EE, Spring, Hibernate, Rules, BPM, HTML5, CSS3, ReactJS, JMS, SOAP, REST, AngularJS, Tomcat, JBoss. WebLogic, Linux, Windows OS.
- Proven ability to develop solution architecture and system design; strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills; possess the ability to perform quick assessment of a situation, understanding it as fully as possible, and making recommendation about possible solutions to a problem.
- Experience with the standard Software Development Life Cycle in delivering business solutions.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of users and IT team.
- Ability to communicate highly complex technical information clearly and articulately at all relevant levels in the organization.
- Excellent command of language in English and Bahasa Malaysia.

**Salary**: RM5,760.48 - RM10,000.00 per month
