Why does this job exist and why is it critical?

Month End Closing And Reporting
- Prepare and review monthly consolidated accounts on a timely manner.
- Prepare & post monthly journal vouchers for corporate related financial matters such as share incentives, dividends payout, any ad-hoc JVs & etc.
- Validated material balances to ensure the balances are supported.
- Monthly and quarterly variance analysis and providing financial result commentary to Management.
- Attend to queries from Management

Group Statutory Reporting
- Prepare quarterly announcement to Bursa.
- Review other external financial results related communication, e.g. quarterly investors’ briefing deck.
- Prepare and / or review quarterly/ year end Board / Audit and Risk Committee papers.
- Prepare year end statutory financial statements of listed holding company
- Be the key accountable role to liaise with different finance counterparts to prepare notes to financial statements and quarterly announcements.
- Prepare financial related information for inclusion in Maxis Berhad Integrated Annual Report.
- Review subsidiaries’ statutory financial statements.

What Do You Need To Have For This Role?
- Professional accounting qualification (ACCA/MICPA/CPA/ICAA/ICAEW) or Degree in Accounting
- Possess at least 5-7 years relevant work experience in large audit firm with public listed clients or in group reporting function in a public listed company.
- Strong knowledge of Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards.
- Competent in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Powerpoint and adequate presentation skill. Preferably with SAP knowledge.
- Personal traits: Positive, Passionate, Collaborative, A self-starter, Ability to perform under pressure in a challenging environment and a team player.
