As a Bakery Retail Assistant, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting in various tasks within the bakery retail environment. Your duties will include serving customers, preparing bakery items, maintaining cleanliness and organization, and ensuring that the bakery operates smoothly.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Customer Service**:

- Greet customers in a friendly and welcoming manner.
- Assist customers in selecting bakery products, providing information about ingredients, flavors, and pricing.
- Handle customer inquiries, concerns, and complaints with professionalism and empathy.
- Ensure a positive shopping experience for all customers by offering assistance and guidance as needed.
- **Bakery Operations**:

- Assist in the preparation of bakery items such as bread, pastries, cakes, and cookies according to established recipes and quality standards.
- Package and label bakery products appropriately, ensuring accuracy in weights, prices, and descriptions.
- Arrange bakery displays attractively to showcase products and stimulate sales.
- Monitor inventory levels of bakery items and communicate replenishment needs to the bakery manager.
- Follow proper food safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean and hygienic workspace.
- **Cash Handling and Transactions**:

- Operate cash registers and POS systems to process customer transactions accurately.
- Handle cash, credit, and debit card payments securely and in accordance with company policies.
- Balance cash registers at the end of shifts and reconcile discrepancies as needed.
- Uphold confidentiality and integrity in handling financial transactions and sensitive customer information.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate with bakery staff and management to ensure seamless workflow and customer satisfaction.
- Communicate effectively with coworkers to coordinate tasks, share relevant information, and address any issues that may arise.
- Support fellow team members during busy periods by pitching in with additional tasks and responsibilities.
- **Maintaining Cleanliness and Organization**:

- Clean and sanitize workstations, equipment, and utensils regularly to maintain a hygienic environment.
- Dispose of waste and recycling materials properly, following designated procedures.
- Monitor and replenish supplies such as packaging materials, ingredients, and cleaning supplies as needed.
- Ensure that the bakery area complies with health and safety regulations at all times.

**Salary**: RM2,000.00 - RM2,600.00 per month
