KPMG is now on the lookout for a Solutioning & ETL Lead within the KPMG Lighthouse, our Center of Excellence (CoE) in Data and Analytics, Automation, AI and Digital Solution in our Malaysia office. “Digital Solution, Enhanced Business Productivity” You will be joining the Lighthouse Team to work as a Solutioning & ETL Lead here at KPMG. We work closely with our clients across diversified industries such as retail, FMCG, manufacturing, financial services, telecommunications, etc. to shape and lead technology-enabled business change engagements, typically motivated by digital transformation agenda, realising operational efficiencies, timely management information and insights, etc. You will be joining a collaborative and energetic team of data analysts, software engineers, automation specialists, innovation specialists and business analysts that share projects delivery knowledge and experiences. Our team covers a broad range of functional and technical domains you will have the opportunity, and be expected, to grow your skill set and experience across a variety of these. The lead is a senior-level data engineer who oversees the design, development, and deployment of ETL (extract, transform, and load) processes. ETL processes are used to extract data from a variety of sources, transform it into a format that can be used by target systems, and load it into those systems. You will be responsible for ensuring that ETL processes are efficient, accurate, and reliable and work to ensure that ETL processes are compliant with all applicable regulations. In addition to the technical skills, you also need to have strong leadership and communication skills. You are responsible for managing a team of ETL developers and ensuring that they are working towards common goals. You also need to be able to communicate effectively with stakeholders from both the technical and business sides of the organization. Besides, you are expected to take part on the management and maintenance of department databases. They ensure that databases are running efficiently and securely, and that authorized users have access to the data they need. DBAs also play a key role in data security and compliance, and they often work closely with different team. Qualifications and Education requirements: - Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field - 5+ years of experience in ETL development - Strong knowledge of SQL and database management systems (DBMS) - Preferred to have Database Administrator certificate. - Experience with ETL tools and technologies, such as SQL Data Server Tools - (SSIS, SSAS,SSMS), Azure Databricks, Azure Data factory Experience with data modeling and data warehousing - Experience with project management methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall - Excellent leadership and team management skills - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Additional Skills and Qualifications: - Experience with cloud-based databases - Experience with big data technologies, such as Hadoop and Spark - Experience with data visualization and analytics tools - Experience with scripting languages, such as Python or Powershell
