**Overview of job**
We are looking for a Associate Directorwith a strong strategic planning background with at least 8 - 10 years' experience who is keen to make their mark on one of the most iconic brands in the world.
You will be responsible for delivering all day to day media planning and client service activities associated with the assigned account. Specifically working closely with the client to translate the business objectives into the challenge comms, should focus on leading conversations with our agency partners to deliver an integrated response to brief, and ensuring the response delivers the business and communications objectives for each of their assigned brands.
Youwill also be expected to develop and maintain strong client relationships, oversee the preparation and supervise the execution of media plans and other deliverables and lead by example, developing, motivating and coaching a team comprised of 1-2 planners.

**Measures of success -**In three months**:
- Completed inductions with your assigned client, creative agencies, internal teams and key media owners and identified what the focus areas are going to be for the next 6 - 12 months.
- Completed all the tools training to ensure you can help guide the team, especially in terms of a point of view on budget sufficiency, integrated screen planning, social and mobile strategies.
- Responded to your first brief and presented these recommendations to the client.
**In six months**:
- Provided a point of view on how we can improve our processes from planning to implementation to post campaign reviews.
- Identified actionable consumer insights that can inform our strategies.
- Progressed work with other departments without the presence of the AOR Director.
- Debated constructively with clients and agency partners and sold in the agency's recommendation.
**In 12 months**:
- Led the strategic response to brief, incorporating inputs from other team members and agencies to create an integrated recommendation.
- Worked with internal partners to create unique projects to enhance MediaCom's reputation.
- Understood the cultural nuances and developed strong relationships with the team across the MediaCom network.
**Responsibilities of the role**:
- Manage all day to day media planning and client service activities associated with the assigned account
- Ensure our recommendations deliver the brand's business and communications objectives
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, agency partners and vendors
- Nurture the planning team and develop capabilities in them which will enable the team to deliver award winning innovation and make an invaluable contribution to the client's business.
**What you will need**:
- Minimum of 8-10 years' experience working in a planning role in a media agency
- Proficiency in English (spoken & written)
- Demonstrate an ability to sell in ideas to key stakeholders
- Effective communications skills to be able to clearly brief junior members of the team as well as link our recommendation to the business challenge so it is sold in to senior clients.
