Executive, Project Material Coordinator

JOB PURPOSES - Responsible for executing and monitoring MMHE SCM’s Project Material Management Department in daily operations for material management, inventory management and surplus/scrap management in meeting the divisional business goals and in compliance to procurement policies, procedures and guidelines as well as to fully utilize resources within budget. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES - Execute and monitor synergized plans, strategies, roadmap and initiatives for Material Management Department to bring down to operating costs and improve material management and logistics operations. - Execute and monitor the departmental budget and utilization to ensure that expenses are within the approved budget. - Execute and monitor departmental performance measurement criterial/indicators based on industry best practices and benchmarking to ensure continuous improvement - Execute and monitor resources utilization and cost savings, obtain highest quality and timely delivery, ensure smooth operations and achieve business goals. - Execute and monitor the function in business partnering with respective business units in bidding and commercial process, projects and other operations with regards to material management and logistics solutions (ex: engage panels for logistics operations) - Execute and comply with SCM policies, procedures, guidelines and governance that will facilitate consistency in approach and professional conduct of affairs, process integrity, compliance with regulatory, group and safety guidelines, industry best practices, corporate goals and objectives and improve risk management. - Execute and monitor the operations for Material Management (i.e. Material Management, Inventory Management and Surplus/Scrap Management) that could reduce operating costs, ensure proper alignment and optimization of assets and resources and meet service level agreements. - Execute and monitor material management activities includes receiving, inspection, preservation, issuance and defect material management. - To categorized, accounted, space optimization for all items and safely stored for easy retrieval and safety compliance. - Monitor inventory stock level and the control mechanism to ensure availability of the inventory items for project needs. - Monitor warehouse’s inventory management system to ensure the system is continuously updated with material inventory level and re-order points for replenishment to avoid disruption of project timeline. - Execute and monitor project surplus includes receiving, storing, preparation of inventory list and publishing of the inventory list for other project usage to recover cost as well as to reduce storage space, plan and manage surplus/scrap disposal exercise effectively with management approval. - Execute and monitor SCM improvement initiatives to achieve divisional excellence and improve Supply Chain processes, current work style, practices, policies, procedures, etc that would result in measurable cost and non-cost benefits and at the same time design and manage comprehensive control and monitoring mechanism to protect the integrity of the supply chain activities. - Maintain close relationship with relevant parties (i.e. MITI, Customs, Police and Local Authorities, internal & external customers, auditors) to facilitate smooth connection within parties to deliver the divisional objectives. - Execute and monitor the capability building framework for Material Management Department to ensure the availability of competent workforce of all levels with the capability of providing procurement services that meet required competency and performance standards. - Maintain a healthy, safe, motivating and conducive work environment that promotes a culture of excellence and a global championship mind set with the objective of improving productivity, maintaining standards of service, promoting industrial harmony as well as instilling discipline and integrity. - Exhibit leadership, direction, guidance and motivation to Material Management Department. Maintain implementation of HSE initiatives in the SCM Division and inculcate HSE among its staff and workers to develop HSE as work culture. REQUIREMENTS - Bachelor of Engineering, Science, Business Administration, Management, Economics or other professional related qualifications. - At least minimum 2 years’ experience in Supply Chain Management functions with experience in material management.
