Purchasing (Material) Manager

**JOB DESCRIPTIONS**:
- _**1. SUPPLIER MANAGEMENT**_
- Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on factors such as cost, quality, reliability, and overall supplier performance.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure timely delivery of goods and services.
- Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to secure favorable terms and conditions.
- _**2. BUDGETING AND COST-CONTROL**_
- Develop and manage the purchasing budget for the organization.
- Work to achieve cost savings through effective negotiation, bulk purchasing, and other cost-effective measures.
- Monitor and analyze market trends to identify opportunities for cost reduction.
- _**3. SOURCING AND PROCUREMENT**_
- Collaborate with various departments to understand their procurement needs and requirements.
- Source and procure goods and services in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all purchases are made at the best possible price and meet quality standards.
- _**4. INVENTORY MANAGEMENT**_
- Oversee and manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock levels without excessive holding costs.
- Implement inventory control measures to minimize waste and obsolescence.
- _**5. COMPLIANCE AND RISK MANAGEMENT**_
- Ensure that all procurement activities comply with relevant laws, regulations, and ethical standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to the supply chain, such as disruptions or changes in market conditions.
- _**6. TEAM LEADERSHIP AND DEVELOPMENT**_
- Lead and manage a team of purchasing professionals, providing guidance, support, and training as needed.
- Foster a collaborative and efficient work environment within the purchasing department.
- _**7. DATA ANALYSIS AND REPORTING**_
- Utilize data analytics to assess supplier performance, track key performance indicators, and identify areas for improvement.
- Prepare and present reports on purchasing activities to management.
- _**8. CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT**_
- Identify opportunities for process improvement within the purchasing function.
- Stay informed about industry best practices and implement changes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- _**9. COMMUNICATION**_
- Effectively communicate with internal stakeholders, suppliers, and other relevant parties to ensure a smooth and efficient procurement process.
- _**10. EMERGENCY AND CONTINGENCY PLANNING**_
- Develop and implement contingency plans to address supply chain disruptions or emergencies.
