**Administrative & Compliance**
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive Department Operations Manual covering policies, procedures, workflows, and performance standards.
- Maintain accurate records including supplier catalogues, price lists, and historical procurement data.
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of all required reports to Corporate, Regional, Hotel, and Governmental bodies.
**Operational Management**
- Manage end-to-end materials operations including procurement, receiving, issuing, storage, and inventory control.
- Ensure effective use of the Birchstreet Materials Management System.
- Monitor and implement internal control procedures for materials handling, issuing, and emergency requests.
- Conduct regular market surveys and negotiate competitive prices to optimize purchasing power.
- Minimize hotel expenses by ensuring cost-effective procurement and efficient inventory management.
**Financial Planning & Cost Control**
- Monitor departmental costs and implement measures to control expenditure.
- Assist in preparing departmental budgets and the annual Finance Business Plan.
- Provide historical data and cost projections to support forecasting and business planning.
- Track department-specific consumption and advise management on cost implications.
- Drive productivity and cost-efficiency through multi-skilling, flexible scheduling, and energy-conscious operations.
**Customer Service & Relationship Management**
- Handle guest and internal customer inquiries or complaints promptly and courteously, ensuring timely resolution.
- Foster positive working relationships and maintain professional interactions with guests, colleagues, and suppliers.
**Requirements**:
- Good knowledge of materials management systems.
- Negotiation and cost control skills.
- Experienced as Material/Purchasing/Procurement Team Lead/Supervisor.
- Ability to adapt to challenging and dynamic environment.
- Worked in a hospitality industry (like hotel / resort) is an added advantage.
- Able to converse and read in mandarin is an added advantage.
- Work Location: Teluk Cempedak
Pay: RM4,000.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
