**Responsibilities**:

- Able to create and deliver high quality animations on characters, creatures, animals, and objects that best expresses the story in meeting project requirement.
- Able to create and guide juniors to create expressive character animation portraying a wide range of emotions
- Work closely with teammates, team lead and other department lead to maintain animation quality and consistency, while meeting project requirement and client’s expectation
- Have strong understand of the story for a project and able to give creative and technical inputs to team in achieving high quality of animation that best express the story
- Able to take part in art test for job pitching
- Able to multitask and complete tasks under tight datelines
- Able to give guidance to the team in optimizing animation data
- Able to research and propose new animation tools to increase work efficiency
- Able to QC own works as well as work of the artists in the team
- Assist superiors to in identifying artist’s strengths and weaknesses in the team
- Strong understanding of project’s complex workflows and able to help artists to resolve any workflow related issues.
- Accurately and calmly provide criticism and feedback to juniors with a positive attitude
- Able to instill passion, positivity, and trust among artists
- Able to motivate the team in pushing for higher productivity

**Job Requirements**:

- 5 to 6 years of experiences in 3D character animation for characters, creatures, animals, and objects in Feature Films, TV, and Games
- Strong knowledge in Maya, and other proprietary animation tools
- Strong knowledge of animation principles like body movement, anticipation, weight, follow-through, squash and stretch.
- Strong knowledge of animation setup like IK, FK, deformation and blendshape.
- Strong knowledge of human anatomy, body languages, acting, storytelling, and cinematography.
- Good knowledge of Shotgun
- Knowledge on Motion Builder will be a plus
- Have cultivated aesthetic sense and an eye for details
- Strong knowledge of lighting & compositing workflow, directory structure, file formats, naming conventions and automation tools
- Strong communication and analytical skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Self-motivated, highly responsive, reliable, and flexible
- Excellent teamwork
