**Lead Technician, SSHE**:
PTTEP Sarawak Oil Limited

**1. KEY OBJECTIVES**:

- Support PTTEP’s Sabah Asset in all issues relating to SSHE, to include workplace, technical, operational, and environmental aspects. Serve as the focal point in Kikeh field for SSHE issues, primarily on FPSO Kikeh but can be further expand to Kikeh DTU and other vessels entering Sabah Asset.
- Actively participate in the organization’s efforts to meet the Sabah Asset SSHE goals and annual SSHE plan.
- Represent Sabah Asset Section when interfacing with FPSO contractor, government agencies,** **contractors, vessels and/or vendors on SSHE issues.

**2. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES**:

- Responsible to ensure that SSHE policies, procedures and standards are communicated, understood and implemented by all personnel including contractors and sub-contractors working on the facility at all times.
- Serve as a focal point for all personnel in all SSHE matters. Work hand in hand with the FPSO contractor to meet the company SSHE policy and goal.
- Take a proactive role in identifying opportunities for improvement of the SSHE system and assist in the development of initiatives to promote SSHE awareness within the company. Assume a lead role in the implementation and monitoring of the PTTEP Waste Management process.
- Assist in the routine development and implementation of hazard identification and mitigation processes including HAZOP and JSA. Maintain an effective system for collecting, storing, analyzing tracking and reporting SSHE performance data.
- Monitor and track SSHE trends by means of Unsafe Act Unsafe Condition (UAUC), Safety Observation Communication (e-SOC) and Hazard Reporting & Communication (eHRC) reporting system as well as by conversations and observations. Recommend alternatives to systems and processes to minimize risks.
- Lead the incident investigation team for incident severity Level 1 to 3 and subsequent follow-up of actions to prevent reoccurrence. Assist the investigation team in incident at Level 4 and 5. Taking up role as Site SSHE investigator according to IMS incident tiers and perform data entry into system.
- Ensure activities carried out in the facility are in compliance with regulatory and other requirements. Assist supervisors in the preparation and continuous monitoring of Permits to Work.
- Monitor and maintain adequate supplies of appropriate protective equipment at selected facilities. Facilitate induction presentations and site tours. Perform monthly walkabout and prepare report of findings and make recommendations on corrective action to be in carried out.
- Attend required trainings as assigned. Assist in the training and coaching of all personnel in SSHE programs. Assist in the evaluation and assessment of the SSHE competencies of all personnel. Continuously review and analyze emergency response procedures and participate in drills to confirm their effectiveness. Record the weekly safety drill and actions for improvement.
- Provide support required by Lead Technician SSHE on DTU. Need to be available to temporarily carry out the duties of the Lead SSHE Technician on DTU, if situation arises. On DTU:

- Lead the Fire Fighting Team or other assigned role in the Emergency Respond Team.
- Take a lead role as Helicopter Landing Officer (HLO) and assist with helideck audit or re-certification program.
- Provide support as required by Company Site Representative (CSR) on board of PTTEP hired vessel. May require if needed to be station temporary on the vessel working on Sabah Asset, to carry out SSHE roles (audits, campaigns, engagement, and supervision).
- Coach and guide Superintendents and Supervisors in leading safety meetings and toolbox talks. Take a lead role in promoting and maintaining an interdependent safety culture within the organization.
- Monitor, support and guide contractor personnel to ensure alignment with PTTEP SSHE standards. Schedule and facilitate internal SSHE audits and reviews including tracking and closure of action required for audit findings.
- Continuously strive to take steps for personal development in SSHE technical skills as well as basic leadership improvement and Perform other SSHE related duties as required.

**3. WORKING RELATIONSHIP**:

- This position reports directly to Superintendent, Production on Kikeh FPSO, but also has an indirect reporting to the Field Manager, Block K in Kuala Lumpur.
- Liaise with Sabah Asset Section members, with contractors and offshore and other PTTEP SSHE personnel in Bangkok ,KL, Labuan and Bintulu.

**4. QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE**:
**Mandatory**:

- Minimum of 8-10 years SSHE experience in the oil and gas industry.
- Strong computer literacy.
- Strong and effective verbal and written communications skills. This will be presenting as well as receiving.
- Excellent verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia language skills.
- A self-starter with strong observational and analytical skills.
