**Job Title: Food Safety Officer**

**Job Summary**:
The Food Safety Officer is responsible for ensuring that all food handling, preparation, and storage activities comply with food safety regulations and hygiene standards. This role involves monitoring and enforcing food safety protocols, conducting regular audits, training staff on proper hygiene practices, and maintaining accurate documentation. The Food Safety Officer acts as the key point of contact for food safety compliance and plays a critical role in maintaining a safe, clean, and regulatory-compliant environment, particularly within the food and beverage or catering industry.

**Responsibilities**:
**1. Food Safety Monitoring**
- Ensure all food handling processes comply with relevant food safety standards (e.g., HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000).
- Conduct regular internal food safety audits.
- Maintain accurate documentation and records related to temperature logs, hygiene, and sanitation activities.

**2. Staff Training & Awareness**
- Provide training to staff on food safety practices and hygiene protocols.
- Develop and distribute educational materials such as posters, guidelines, and SOPs.

**3. Hygiene & Sanitation Control**
- Oversee the proper use of food-safe cleaning chemicals and tools.
- Ensure food preparation areas are clean, sanitized, and free from contamination at all times.

**4. Temperature & Storage Monitoring**
- Monitor cold, frozen, and hot holding equipment to ensure safe storage temperatures.
- Enforce FIFO (First In, First Out) method for all raw and cooked food inventory.

**5. Complaint & Incident Response**
- Investigate food safety complaints and incidents reported by customers or staff.
- Take immediate corrective action on any non-compliance issues found.

**6. PPE & Personal Hygiene Compliance**
- Ensure all food handlers wear complete PPE (hairnet, apron, gloves, face mask).
- Conduct regular hygiene inspections (e.g., nail checks, wound checks, grooming standards).

**7. Legal & Regulatory Compliance**
- Liaise with regulatory authorities such as the Ministry of Health (MOH), municipal councils, and food inspectors.
- Ensure the premises are inspection-ready and compliant with local food safety regulations.

**Requirement**:

- Knowledge of HACCP, GMP, ISO 22000, and Malaysian Food Act & Regulations.
- Strong attention to detail and high integrity.
- Effective communication and leadership skills.
- Experience in food safety audits is an advantage.

Pay: RM2,000.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
