Accounts Officer

Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts in accordance with accounting policies and standards.
- Prepare and post journal entries, accruals, and adjustments.
- Assist in the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities.
- Support the preparation of financial statements, management reports.
- Prepare tax filings and work with Group Tax team for statutory submission.
- Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
- Ensure compliance with internal controls, company policies, and statutory requirements.
- Assist in audits (internal and external) by preparing schedules and documentation.
- Support process improvement initiatives, including automation and system enhancements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate reporting.
- Perform ad hoc assignments as and when required.
**REQUIREMENTS**:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Professional qualification or progress towards Chartered Accountant (e.g., ACCA, CPA, ICAEW) preferred.
- 2-3 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in general ledger or financial reporting. Experience in audit (especially big 4) is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles (IFRS / local GAAP).
- Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP preferred) and MS Excel.
- Detail-oriented, analytical, and able to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
