**Overall job objectives**
- To ensure that procurements meet the Company’s requirements in terms of the delivery timeline, quality and cost.

**Core responsibilities**
- Responsible for preparation and process purchase orders in accordance with company policies and procedures
- Managing and monitor deliveries (local and overseas) of items to ensure all items are delivered to the site/store in time.
- Source, select and negotiate for the best purchase in terms of quality, price, term, deliveries and services with sub-contractors and suppliers.
- Liaise with planner and warehouse to ensure purchase to meet project requirement and not exceeded inventory level set by the company.
- Handling and monitoring of claims for defectives, shortage, missing parts in accordance with company policy.
- Liaise with Account Payable Department to ensure accuracy of payment by checking invoices and items delivered.
- Source for new parts, suppliers or sub-contractors to support growth for new projects.
- Support relevant departments with quotations for the purpose of tenders.
- Maintain procurement files, purchasing data and pricing in the system.
- Developing and implement purchasing strategies. Key measures evaluating performance:
a) Possess right mind set and attitude, overseeing purchasing department operation and delegating task.
b) Cost saving:

- Cost review - by project basic & periodically.
- Price list control on core material.
- P.O with necessary supported documentation (quotations, etc).
- Maintain updated pricelist.
c) Supplier base - improve suppliers base and quality, vendor evaluation.
d) Prepare reports and summarize data including monthly report.
- Carry out other ad-hoc tasks as been assigned by Management from time to time.

**Job Requirements**:

- Minimum a Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or any relevant field.
- Possess strong negotiation and communication skill.
- Experience in furniture and fittings industry is an added advantage.
- Have a great sense of urgency and able to handle multi-tasks under pressure.
- Have knowledge in ERP system.
