Set up and operate 3-axis, 4-axis and or 5-axis CNC milling machines according to procedures, programs and engineering drawings to manufacture machined parts efficiently and to specifications.
Change cutting tools and adjust machines feed and speeds as needed.
Responsible in CNC machine setup for junior level CNC Machinist to help eliminate non-conformance and machine down time.
Setup and operate CNC Machines to produce parts as per drawing and within specifications
Setup, operate and maintains measuring equipment, gauges and fixtures for inspection
Maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of work area at all time
Responsible for material wastage control, manufacturing cost reduction and compliance with safety requirements
Identify roots cause and corrective action to resolve production process and quality issues
Use prescribed procedures to inspect parts produced to assure compliance with specification and quality requirements that will eliminate defects, scrap and rework
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition daily, report defective machine, equipment, material and/or faulty operations to supervisor
To communicate effectively with CNC Programmers, supervisors and/or other CNC machinists during problem resolution and instruction.
