**Job purpose**:
The Mechanic will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. This role requires a thorough understanding of mechanical components, tools, and systems to ensure the proper functioning of vehicles or equipment. The mechanic will work closely with other team members to provide high-quality service while maintaining safety standards and minimizing downtime.

**Job Scope**:
**1*. **Inspection and Diagnosis:*
- Perform regular inspections of vehicles, machinery, or equipment to identify potential issues.
- Diagnose mechanical problems using diagnostic equipment, technical manuals, or troubleshooting skills.

**2*. **Repair and Maintenance:*
- Carry out repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and other mechanical components.
- Replace or repair defective parts and systems using appropriate tools and techniques.

**3*. **Preventive Maintenance:*
- Conduct routine preventive maintenance to ensure equipment and vehicles operate efficiently and extend their lifespan.
- Maintain records of maintenance and repairs performed on each vehicle or machine.

**4*. **Testing and Calibration:*
- Test and calibrate mechanical systems after repairs to ensure optimal performance and compliance with manufacturer specifications.
- Perform road tests or equipment tests to confirm that repairs have resolved issues.

**5*. **Safety and Compliance:*
- Adhere to all safety regulations and company policies during maintenance and repair activities.
- Ensure that tools and equipment are used correctly and safely.

**6*. **Documentation and Reporting:*
- Maintain detailed records of repairs, parts used, and maintenance schedules.
- Report any major issues or concerns to supervisors and recommend solutions.

**7*. **Team Collaboration:*
- Work closely with other mechanics and supervisors to prioritize tasks and complete jobs efficiently.
- Communicate effectively to ensure the smooth workflow of daily operations.

**Qualifications**:

- Diploma/Advanced/Higher/ Graduates in Automotive Studies or professional qualification in Sijil Kemahiran Malaysia 2 & 3 (SKM 2&3) or equivalent
- Minimum 3-5 years minimum of working experience in automotive industry.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good physical condition, with the ability to lift heavy parts and equipment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality work.

**Location: Jalan Keruing, Kuching**

Pay: RM1,500.00 - RM2,500.00 per month
