**Your Role as a **Technical Writer**:
You will be responsible for authoring, copyediting, and maintaining, high-quality technical content specific to the Appspace software, using our in-house documentation style guide, for a global audience. Content includes how-to articles, paths, release notes, white papers, video tutorials, and other types of technical content to meet customer demands. Areas of responsibility also include managing user feedback for all our articles.

**A Day in the Life of a **Technical Writer**:

- Write high-quality technical documentation, which includes, but is not limited to how-to articles, release notes, guides, and troubleshooting articles.
- Produce tutorial videos to complement the articles on the Appspace Knowledge Center.
- Ensure all content is accurate, concise, easy to understand, and of the highest quality by editing, checking, and proofreading, before submitting for review/ publishing.
- Adhere strictly to the in-house technical documentation style guide.
- Periodically review articles to ensure technical accuracy and content is current with the latest feature updates.
- Technical ability to quickly learn and talk authoritatively about our products.
- Collaborate with Scrum Masters, Developers, QA engineers, and SMEs, to understand and document the scope, requirements, functional specifications, and features of the products being released.
- Adhere to strict deadlines, to ensure all content is written and ready for review and publishing, in line with our weekly release plans.
- Manage daily tracking of documentation tasks and requests in the existing tracking system.
- Participate in the full product development cycle, from idea generation to getting feedback from internal teams.
- Strong interpersonal skills to constantly liaise with stakeholders to ensure you have the required information necessary to write content for upcoming releases and drive for deadlines, taking into account any changes in release schedules.
- Able to work in a multicultural environment with the ability to collaborate with teams in different locations and time zones.
- Driven, proactive, and self-motivated to be able to work with mínimal supervision, and in different time zones when necessary.

**What You’ll Need**:
Technical Skills
- Minimum Diploma in Computer Science/IT/System Administration, or any computer-related technical field.
- Ability to understand complex technical information and concepts, and turn it into accurate, concise, and easy-to-understand documents, with speed and agility.
- Able to read some programming code, such as HTML/XML.
- Experience with or exposure to all or any of the following tools (or similar):

- Google Workspace (G Suite)
- WordPress
- Camtasia
- Confluence Wiki/Jira
- A fast learner with an interest in and understanding of technology.

Writing Skills
- Excellent command of the English language, with impeccable writing, editing, and communication skills.
- Able to conceptualize, write, and structure various types of technical content for different audiences.
- Strong editorial background, with good skills in grammar, proofreading, and copy editing.
- Familiarity with the Chicago Manual of Style and/or other style guides.

Professional Skills
- Proven ability to work independently and manage multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable in dealing with high volume workload and deadlines, and working on last-minute changes and/or requirements.
- Able to write and behave professionally at all times.
- Actively seeks feedback from all levels and works with other writers to raise the bar.
- Proactive, resourceful, meticulous, analytical, and detail-oriented.
- A team player with a high degree of camaraderie.

Good to Have
- Minimum 2-4 years experience in a Technical Writing role.
- Familiar with Agile methodology, including Scrum and Kanban methods.
- Knowledge/experience creating video tutorials.
- Familiar with creating API documentation.
- Comfortable preparing diagrams and visualizations.
- Customer support experience.
- Experience working in a cross-functional team and in a global team environment.
- Experience testing user-focused solutions for mobile, desktop, online.
