The incumbent is responsible in leading the General Ledger (IFRS 17) workstreams in end-to-end implementation of the new insurance accounting standard of the Company.

Principal Duties & Responsibility:

- Regional guiding principle and new/current Financial closing and reporting processes.
- Produce Financial statements that are compliant with IFRS/MFRS 17 requirements.
- Ensure compliance with both IFRS 17 & MFRS 17 Standards and Group accounting policies, proper and complete documentation in place for all new processes and accounting policies.
- Responsible for project planning and ensure the execution of tasks and delivery of project in a timely manner.
- Responsible in implements changes with proper control processes as necessary for IFRS/MFRS 17 implementation and supports Finance modernization initiatives.
- Supervise team members to achieve performance objectives through regular technical knowledge and career coaching for any new project that involves GL By Process.
- Support in change management initiatives, staff engagement and ad hoc tasks.

Job Requirements- Degree in Finance related discipline (Finance/Accounting, Economics, Mathematics/ Statistics, Actuarial Science or Professional qualification (ACA, CPA, ACCA or equivalent).- Minimum 6 years related working experience.- Ability to work with diverse personalities across various disciplines, cultures and business practices inherent to an international organization.- A team player with good interpersonal skills, able to work independently and under pressure- Result oriented with a sense of urgency to follow up with project-related matters to resolution- Able to lead and motivate a high-performing team- Able to work under pressure and tight timelines- Understanding of general IFRS and IAS principles are required.- Knowledge in IFRS 17 is beneficial.
