About the Role

Processing of Third-Party Property Damage, Third Party Knock-for-Knock (Cost of Repair) and Own Damage (OD) & Own Damage Knock-for-Knock (ODKFK) claims to ensure compliance with BNM and regulatory bodies.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Processing of Third-Party Property Damage (TPPD) claims.
- Preparing checklist and Initiate KFK enquiry to claimant insurers for mandate.
- Process, assess, negotiate, and approve settlement of TPPD claims within authority limit of RM25,000.00.
- Process, assess, negotiate, and propose settlement of TPPD claims exceeding the above authority level.
- Ensure reserve is adequately provided for and adjust reserve, if necessary.
- Ensure that TP claimant details are updated in POLA system.
- Ensure update of NCB timely based on claim scenario and police investigation result.
- Processing of Third Party KFK Claim.
- Preparing checklist, process, assess and initiate KFK mandate to third party insurers for cases within authority limit of RM25,000.00.
- Process, assess, negotiate, and propose mandate for cases exceeding the above authority level.
- Ensure update of NCB timely based on claim scenario and police investigation result.
- Prepare payment for KFK Reimbursement by Third Party insurers.
- Processing of Own Damage/Own Damage KFK Claim.
- Process, assess, negotiate, and approve settlement of OD/ODK claims within authority limit of RM25,000.00.
- Desktop assessment for OD/ODK & TPPD claims. Preparing checklist, process, assess OD & ODKFK to repairer.
- In-house surveyor duties.
- Process, assess and propose approval for all cases as still no authority yet.
- Ensure update of NCB timely base on claim scenario and police investigation result.
- Ensure reserve is adequately provided for and adjust reserve, if necessary.
- Follow-up with third party claimants on outstanding documents and claimant insurers on mandate.
- Annual review of outstanding claim files.
- Supervise a filing clerk and ensure that management of claim files is in proper order.
- Attend to incoming phone calls, walk in agents, customers, and repairers.
- Performs other responsibilities and duties periodically assigned by supervisor to meet operational and/or other requirements.
