**Responsibilities**:

- Responsibilities- Perform basic physical examination on a patient before and after assigned procedures
- Perform patient vital signs (Blood pressure, Heart rate/pulse, respiration and oxygen saturation), and report immediately any abnormalities to the Staff Nurses
- Document patient vital signs concisely, accurately, and completely using appropriate forms and documentation.
- Assist the Staff Nurses in collecting samples of patient urine, stools and sputum sample for laboratory test
- Assist Staff Nurse during procedures such as measuring high, weight and BMI during admission, bathing, skincare, turning / positioning of patient, sending, transferring and fetching patients to operation theatre etc. ( following hospital nursing care standard)
- Assist the Staff Nurses in bed making and removing dirty linen in the skips to dirty utility
- Monitor and clean medical equipment and devices such as BP monitoring & cuff, saturation machine ready to be used for the next patient
- Ensure proper storage of equipment stored after use, malfunction of equipment or devices are reported timely
- Assist the Staff Nurse to arrange unit supplies, ward needed on a daily, weekly and monthly basis and report to the Nurse Manager for any top-up needs
- Responsible coaching for new nurse aides and facilitating their roles and responsibilities
- Ensure ward/daycare environment is clean, tidy and safe
- Perform other appropriate tasks and duties assigned within the realm of the employee’s knowledge, skills and abilities.
