Company Background We are representing our client, a new start-up in Malaysia that operates a Loan-Matching Platform, in their search for a Partnerships & Business Development Manager Job Responsibilities: Independently prospect, engage and secure partnership agreements with Malaysian banks and licensed money-lenders, to integrate with the company platformBuild the pipeline of institutional partner leads, develop business cases, negotiate terms, close deals, and onboard partners to live-statusManage end-to-end partner lifecycle: from engagement to onboarding to activation to growth and retentionWork cross‐functionally with product, operations, marketing, compliance teams to ensure seamless partner integration and performanceSet and monitor partner KPIs (loan flow volumes, partner growth, partner satisfaction metrics) and deliver results against targetsRepresent the company at industry events, build the brand in the finance/lending ecosystem, and maintain high credibility with partner stakeholdersContinuously map the Malaysian banking and licensed-lender ecosystem, identify new opportunities and competitive threats, and advise senior management on strategic partnership growth Job Requirements Diploma or Degree in any related fieldsMinimum 5 years of business development or strategic partnerships experience in financial services/fintech in Malaysia (or comparable market)Demonstrable track record of closing partnerships or collaborations with Malaysian banks and/or licensed money‐lendersEstablished network of senior decision-makers (VP / Head Partnerships / BD) in Malaysian banks or licensed money-lenders Commercial and strategic thinking: understands business models, financial metrics, partner economics, and regulatory/compliance context in banking/lendingExcellent negotiation, stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, especially at institutional levelStrong communication skills in English and Mandarin / Cantonese Other info:Competitive base salary + performance-based commission tied to partner acquisition and partner growth targetsMedical & Health Coverage is providedWork Arrangement - Staff may work remotely or in office based on business needs and supervisor approval Qualified and interested candidates may apply online or email your updated resume to siti@talentrecruit.com.my Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.
