About the role

We are seeking a talented Civil Engineer to join our dynamic team at Multimac Engineering Sdn. Bhd. in Miri, Sarawak. This is a yearly renewable contract position with 3 months probation required.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting site inspections and assessments to evaluate project requirements and constraints
  • Designing and developing civil and structural engineering plans, specifications, and drawings using industry-standard software
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure the timely and successful completion of projects
  • Providing technical support and guidance to construction teams on-site
  • Monitoring project progress and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations and safety standards

  • Identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues throughout the project lifecycle

  • Assisting the project manager with design, procurement, and construction activities while ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety standards.

What we're looking for

  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably within the construction or any M&E industry.
  • Willing to relocate and travel to various rural areas within Sarawak as required by project assignments.
  • Basic technical knowledge in design, analysis, and project management software (e.g., AutoCAD, STAAD.Pro, Microsoft Project)
  • Proficiency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required.
  • Proficiency in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
