About the role

We are seeking experienced Site Engineers to join our team at West Borneo Construction Sdn Bhd in Murum, Sarawak. As a Site Engineer, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the successful delivery of our construction projects. This is a full-time position based in Bintulu, offering the opportunity to work on an exciting range of projects within the civil/structural engineering domain.

What you'll be doing

  • Assisting Project/Construction Manager on site management and construction works
  • Assisting Project/Construction Manager on other task necessary for the works
  • Supervising and coordinating the day-to-day activities on construction sites, ensuring adherence to project plans, budgets, and safety protocols
  • Conducting site inspections, monitoring progress, and identifying and resolving any issues that arise
  • Liaising with project managers, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration
  • Preparing and reviewing technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and reports
  • Providing technical guidance and support to the construction team
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant industry standards, regulations, and best practices

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
  • At least 3 years of experience as a Site Engineer or in a similar construction management role
  • Strong technical knowledge and understanding of construction methods, materials, and safety standards
  • Excellent problem-solving, decision-making, and communication skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and construction documents
  • Proficient in the use of construction management software and tools
  • Demonstrated experience in project planning, budgeting, and resource allocation
  • Familiarity with local building codes and regulations in Sarawak
