We're looking for a talented Data Analyst / Mathematician to join our innovative team in Penang. You'll apply your mathematical and analytical skills to design, test, and optimize data-driven products that enhance user experience and system performance.
This role suits someone who enjoys problem-solving, statistics, and creative modeling — and wants to contribute to exciting digital software projects in a collaborative, forward-thinking environment.
Key Responsibilities
Game Mathematics Development
- Develop mathematical models that ensure a balance between entertainment value and regulatory compliance.
- Design and simulate random number generators (RNGs) to ensure fair play.
Statistical Analysis and Simulation
- Perform statistical analysis and simulations to validate game designs.
- Analyze game performance metrics and player behavior data to optimize game features and mechanics.
- Develop tools and scripts for automating mathematical calculations and simulations.
Collaboration and Communication
- Work closely with game designers, developers, and graphic artists to integrate mathematical models into game development.
- Communicate complex mathematical concepts to non-mathematical stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
- Collaborate with regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with laws and regulations.
Research and Development
- Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in the industry.
- Research and propose innovative game mechanics and features based on mathematical principles.
- Continuously improve and refine existing game mathematics to enhance player experience.
Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Actuarial Science, or related field.
- Proven experience in developing mathematical or statistical models and simulations.
- Strong proficiency in probability theory, statistics, combinatorics, and stochastic processes.
- Proficient in Python, Java, or C++ for data modeling and simulation.
- Experience with programming languages such as Java, C++ for statistical analysis and simulations.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
