Building Technician

Responsibilities:

• To perform ON & OFF building M&E operation system.
• Assemble, install, test, and maintain electric or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, and fixtures, using hand tools and power tools.
• Attend/response to breakdown/emergency calls from tenants, customer and management promptly at all time.
• Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components, using test equipment and hand tools, to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem or report to your immediate superior within the same working day.
• Inspect electrical systems, equipment and components to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes and report accordingly to Facility Manager.
• Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits in electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures, using testing devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes, to ensure compatibility and safety of system.
• Direct and train other technician to install, maintain, or repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures.
• Weekly update/configure BMS system to ensure buildings facilities, mechanical, and electrical equipment for comfort, safety, and efficiency being controlled, monitor, optimized and reported.
• Coordinates with assigned Chargeman and/or other trades for the purpose of completing projects and work orders efficiently.
• Perform planned Preventive Maintenance as scheduled (i.e.: air-cond, lighting & signages, sewage piping, exhaust & grease traps, fountain etc.).
• Walk through inspection shall include building defect, lightings & signages and housekeeping.
• To assist in Handyman's job such as painting, plumbing, plastering etc.
• Any other assignment that may be assigned to you accordingly at the discretion of the company from time to time.

Requirements:

• Candidates must possess at least a SKM, Wireman (PW), Certificate, Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Engineering, Engineering in Electrical, Mechatronic, Electromechanical or equivalent.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in Building Maintenance.
• Required language(s): English & Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to learn with positive attitude.
• Able to maintain and troubleshooting/repair electrical/mechanical problems on the machines and building facilities.
• Available to work shift.
• Applicant must be willing to work in Melaka.
• Full time position available.
