About the role

We're seeking a highly talented and motivated R&D Engineer to join the team at MILDEF INTERNATIONAL TECHNOLOGIES SDN BHD. As an R&D Engineer, you will play a crucial role in driving innovation and pushing the boundaries of mechanical engineering within our dynamic organisation. Based in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negeri Sembilan, this full-time position will see you collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, develop and optimise cutting-edge mechanical systems and products.

What you'll be doing

  • Conducting research and analysis to identify new product and process improvement opportunities
  • Designing, developing and testing innovative mechanical systems and components
  • Utilising advanced CAD software and prototyping techniques to bring concepts to life
  • Collaborating with engineers, technicians and manufacturing teams to ensure seamless product development and delivery
  • Documenting designs, test results and other engineering data to support continuous improvement
  • Keeping abreast of industry trends, technologies and best practices to inform innovation strategies

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years' experience as an R&D Engineer or in a similar role
  • Proficient in using CAD software, such as SolidWorks or AutoCAD, for 3D modelling and design
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think creatively
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams
  • Experience in product testing, prototyping and validation processes
  • Up-to-date knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, materials science and manufacturing techniques
