Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate and enthusiastic Special Needs Educator to join our multidisciplinary team. The ideal candidate will be experienced in working with individuals with a range of disabilities and open to integrating hippotherapy as a complementary educational and developmental tool.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each student's developmental, emotional, and learning needs.
  • Work collaboratively with physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, and equine professionals to align educational goals with therapeutic outcomes.
  • Facilitate structured and adaptive learning activities both in the classroom and in equine-assisted environments.
  • Use hippotherapy sessions to reinforce cognitive, behavioral, and communication goals in a safe and supportive manner.
  • Track and report student progress using observation, assessments, and documentation tools.
  • Engage with parents and caregivers to foster consistency between therapy, learning, and home environments.
  • Promote inclusion, confidence, and independence in students through engaging, student-centered educational strategies.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in Special Education, Education, Child and Family Psychology or a related field. Fresh Graduates are welcome
  • Experience working with children and/or adults with intellectual, developmental, or physical disabilities is an advantage.
  • A willingness to participate in or learn about hippotherapy and equine-assisted education.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Comfortable working in both indoor classroom and outdoor/rural environments.

  • Experience or interest in working with therapy animals or in outdoor educational settings.
  • Adaptability, creativity, and patience.
