Country Manager, Malaysia – PM or QS Background

Country Manager for Malaysia
, with preference given to candidates based in
Europe or the Middle East
. While previous experience in Malaysia or Asia is
not essential
, you must be
open and committed to relocating

thoroughly researched the local market, culture, and operating environment
.

This is a unique opportunity for a high-calibre individual to take on a leadership role in a growing consultancy operating across the Asia-Pacific region. You will lead expert, multicultural teams and play a key role in delivering and expanding services in Malaysia and Southeast Asia.

Candidates from either a Project Management (PM) or Quantity Surveying (QS) background are welcome.
Prior experience in
Data Centre projects
is highly desirable.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead the acquisition, growth, retention, and satisfaction of a customer base in Malaysia.
  • Deliver and grow consultancy services in Malaysia, while contributing to the broader APAC strategic plan—developing and executing market strategies and presenting business plans to the executive team.
  • Serve as the key account manager for Malaysian clients, developing relationships built on trust and long-term partnership.
  • Provide inspirational leadership and mentorship to a high-performing, diverse team, supporting their development and performance.
  • Drive business development efforts, securing both new clients and repeat work from existing partnerships.
  • Oversee the successful delivery of client projects, ensuring timelines, budgets, and quality standards are met.
  • Build and maintain teams capable of meeting project demands, while preserving service excellence and profitability.
  • Take strategic ownership of key client projects in Malaysia and across Southeast Asia.
  • Apply your deep PM or QS experience in the construction consultancy space to deliver outstanding project outcomes.
  • Negotiate commercial agreements and contracts confidently with external clients and contractors.
  • Lead by example to ensure consistent delivery of high-quality work and exceptional client value

    Europe or the Middle East

    to Malaysia, with a strong understanding of and respect for regional cultural and business dynamics.
  • Have a background in either
    Project Management or Quantity Surveying
    , with solid consultancy experience across the full project lifecycle.
  • Possess strong operational leadership experience in a dynamic, consultancy-based environment.
  • Have
    proven experience working on data centre projects
    or similarly complex, high-value builds.
  • Are skilled at building and leading teams, growing business units, and cultivating trusted client relationships.
  • Communicate clearly, persuasively, and professionally—both in person and in writing.
  • Enjoy working in a collaborative environment and foster a culture of openness, accountability, and mutual success.
