Duration: 12 months

Allowance: RM2,000.00 per month / RM24,000.00 per year


About the Program

Global Rail Sdn Bhd invites young Malaysian graduates to join our PROTÉGÉ Ready-To-Work (RTW) program, a structured 12-month training that combines soft-skills development and on-the-job (OJT) technical training in the railway and electrical engineering field. This program aims to nurture well-rounded, employable talents who are industry-ready and equipped with both professional and technical competencies.


Program Structure

Phase 1: Soft-Skills Training (2 Weeks)

You will attend the mandatory PROTÉGÉ-RTW modules and additional technical courses:

  • Organizational Adaptability
  • Value-Driven Professionalism
  • Grooming & Etiquette
  • Entrepreneurship 101
  • Environmental Sustainability & Social Impact

Additional Modules:

  • Basic Electrification in Railway
  • CIDB Safety Induction Course (Green Card)
  • KTMB Railway Safety Course

Phase 2: On-the-Job Training (11 Months 2 Weeks)

Position Title: Trainee Engineer (Electrical)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in identifying, reporting, and following up on non-conformance to project specifications.
  • Ensure all site safety rules are adhered to and proper PPE usage is practiced.
  • Participate in coordination meetings with clients, consultants, and stakeholders.
  • Conduct daily briefings with site team leaders to monitor progress and potential delays.
  • Support project managers in supervising and managing construction activities.
  • Plan and organize project operations in line with the Project Quality Plan.
  • Perform regular inspections and evaluate subcontractor performance.
  • Resolve technical issues to maintain quality and schedule compliance.
  • Coordinate project handover processes and rectification works.

Requirements:

  • Malaysian citizen, aged 27 years and below
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related field
  • Fresh graduates or unemployed for less than 2 years
  • Not previously participated in any PROTÉGÉ or SL1M program
  • Passionate about the railway industry and eager to gain hands-on experience
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
