About the Role

As a Senior Accounts Executive at Hasilwan (M) Sdn Bhd, you will be responsible for managing the company's full set of accounts and ensuring the accuracy and compliance of all financial records. This role involves handling budgeting, cash flow, reporting, and audit preparations while supporting management in maintaining strong financial control and operational efficiency.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Lead the preparation of the company's annual budget.
  • Ensure full compliance with financial policies and SST payment requirements.
  • Review and monitor daily cash flow, earmark bank payments, and ensure sufficient funds are available for operational purposes.
  • Supervise and ensure all transactions are properly classified and accurately recorded in the computerized accounting systems (ERP Acumatica and Unity).
  • Review and reconcile accounts receivable and accounts payable.
  • Prepare journals, perform bank reconciliations, and maintain the Fixed Assets Register.
  • Maintain and reconcile the general ledger.
  • Prepare monthly and annual financial statements for management review and annual audit purposes (including all audit and tax schedules).
  • Maintain and archive all financial, banking, and accounting documents relevant for annual reviews, tax filings, and audits.
  • Undertake any other duties and responsibilities as instructed by the Superior or Senior Management team.
  • The Company reserves the right to amend the job description and/or assign additional tasks as deemed necessary.

Qualifications / Skills & Competencies

  • CIMA, ACCA, or Degree in Accounting; or at least 7 years of experience in full-set accounting, taxation, or audit.
  • Demonstrated leadership, management, and communication skills.
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic initiatives.
  • Capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Excellent oral (including listening) and written communication skills, including the ability to prepare routine and customized management reports.
  • Highly proficient in PC and Windows environments, Microsoft Office applications, and SharePoint.
  • Able to handle multiple tasks and solve problems under pressure while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced and change-oriented environment.
  • Effective communicator with subordinates, managers, senior management, and suppliers.
  • Possesses own transport.
  • Fluent in spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
  • Proficiency in spoken and written Mandarin is an added advantage.
  • Experience in contract or development financing is preferred.
  • Experience managing accounts in a Public Listed Company is an advantage.
