Back-end Developer

Your Role

As a key member of our engineering team, you'll
design and build robust, scalable backend infrastructure
that delivers actionable healthcare insights at scale. You will operate at the intersection of
health data, data science, and technology

Your Challenges:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performance
  backend services, APIs, and microservices
  to power our core data analytics platform.
• Architect robust
  data pipelines (ETL)
  for the secure and efficient ingestion, processing, and aggregation of diverse health and laboratory data.
• Collaborate cross-functionally
  with Data Scientists, Front-End Developers, and Product Managers to translate analytical requirements into reliable, scalable backend systems.
• Implement rigorous
  data integrity, privacy, and security best practices
  , ensuring full compliance with industry standards like
  GDPR and HIPAA.
• Optimize backend architecture for
  maximum performance, reliability, and scale
  to support high data volumes and concurrent user activity.
• Develop and maintain clear, up-to-date
  documentation
  for APIs, system architecture, and complex data workflows.
• Monitor, automate, and manage backend processes to ensure
  seamless operation, high availability, and effective disaster recovery.
• Proactively
  troubleshoot and resolve technical issues
  across the backend stack, driving continuous system improvement.

What You Have:

• 3+ years of experience
  as a Back-end Developer or Software Engineer building highly
  scalable and reliable systems
  (experience in HealthTech, FinTech, or data-driven environments is a plus).
• Proficiency in Python
  (including frameworks like Django, FastAPI, or Flask) or other modern backend languages like
  Rust or Go.
• Strong expertise in
  relational and non-relational databases
  (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB), advanced data modeling, and
  query optimization.
• Solid understanding and experience in designing, developing, and documenting
  RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs.
• Proven experience building and maintaining
  data processing pipeline solutions
  for real-time analytics or LLM (Large Language Model) inference jobs.
• Practical experience deploying applications on
  cloud platforms (GCP or AWS)
  and utilizing containerization tools like
  Docker and Kubernetes.
• Strong foundation in
  data security, privacy, and compliance
  requirements, ideally with experience in regulated sectors (healthcare, finance).
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to
  clearly document and articulate
  complex technical concepts to diverse teams

Nice to Have:

• Experience working with
  healthcare data standards
  such as
  HL7 or FHIR.
• Exposure to
  integrating or deploying AI/ML models
  into live production environments.
• Understanding of
  data governance, auditability, and lineage
  best practices.
• Experience with
  infrastructure-as-code
  (e.g., Terraform, Ansible) or designing CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience or strong interest in the healthcare domain.
