1. Production Planning & Execution


• Develop and monitor detailed production schedules, ensuring alignment with project timelines and client requirements.


• Plan and manage fabrication activities from start to finish, including but not limited to material preparation, marking, cutting, rolling, welding, fitting, assembly, hydro-testing, painting, inspection, packing and delivery.


• Coordinate daily operations at both the yard and project sites, ensuring smooth transition between work stages and departments.


• Work closely with design/engineering teams to resolve technical issues, drawing clarifications, and fabrication activity.


• Ensure project execution adheres to safety, cost, schedule, and quality targets.

2. Resource & Material Management


• Plan and allocate resources (manpower, machinery, equipment, tools, scaffolding, consumables, etc).


• Monitor usage of raw materials, tools, and consumables; raise requisitions when required.


• Prepare Material Take-Offs (MTOs) based on project drawings and specifications.


• Raise requisitions for materials, tools, and consumables.


• Liaise with store and procurement departments to ensure timely supply of materials.


• Arrange transportation of foreign worker from one site to another site.


• Prepare and maintain production records such as daily progress, manpower allocation, and material tracking, etc.

3. Quality Assurance & Compliance


• Ensure all production works comply with QA/QC standards and project specifications.


• Support inspections and audits conducted by QA/QC and HSE departments.

4. Safety & Regulatory Compliance


• Promote a culture of safety-first across all production activities.


• Enforce compliance with HSE policies, statutory regulations (e.g., DOSH, OSHA, CIDB), and project-specific safety requirements.


• Ensure all production activities is carried out by competent and certified personnel under safe work procedures.

5. Monitoring & Reporting


• Track progress of production activities against project schedules.


• Update and maintain daily progress reports, manpower allocation sheets, and material usage logs.


• Identify risks, bottlenecks, or delays and propose solutions to minimize impact on project delivery.


• Prepare weekly/monthly production reports for submission to the Production/Project Manager.


• Monitor productivity performance and highlight areas for improvement.

6. Continuous Improvement & Support


• Support skill development and training initiatives for workers to upgrade competency levels.


• Provide assistance to other departments (engineering, QA/QC, HSE, procurement) when required for project success.


• Undertake ad hoc duties, project support tasks, or special assignments from the Production/Project Manager.
