JOB SUMMARY:

The General Ledger Executive will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the company's general ledger by ensuring all financial transactions are properly recorded, classified, and reconciled. This role plays a key part in preparing accurate financial statements and supporting audit and compliance requirements.

JOB RESPONSIBILITY :

  • Record, review, and post journal entries related to daily transactions, accruals, and adjustments.
  • Perform monthly general ledger account reconciliations including cash, inventory, intercompany balances, and other key accounts.
  • Assist in the month-end and year-end closing process, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Maintain and update the chart of accounts in accordance with internal policies.
  • Support preparation of financial statements in compliance with accounting standards.
  • Coordinate with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Inventory, and other finance functions for accurate transaction posting.
  • Assist in preparing schedules for internal and external audits.
  • Monitor and resolve any discrepancies or unusual transactions in the ledger.
  • Ensure compliance with internal controls, policies, and accounting standards.
  • Handle ad hoc finance tasks.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENT:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

COMPUTER KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENT:

Microsoft Office Experience with accounting systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle, QuickBooks, or other ERP platforms).

OTHER SKILSS REQUIREMENT :

  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in general ledger accounting or related roles.
  • Strong understanding of double-entry bookkeeping and accounting principles (GAAP or IFRS).
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial data analysis.
  • Experience in the retail or FMCG industry.
  • Experience working in a multi-entity or multi-location business environment.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From RM5,000.00 per month
