About the role

We are seeking a friendly and certified yellow book holder Site Safety supervisor to join our team at Bright Symphony Sdn Bhd. This is a full-time position with competitive benefits.

What you'll be doing

  • Ensure compliance with local occupational safety and health (OSH) laws and regulations (OSHA, DOSH)
  • Prepare and maintain Safety and Health Reports, Risk Assessments (RA), Job Hazard Analyses (JHA), and Permit-to-work (PTW) documentation.
  • Conduct site specific hazard identification for activities like working at height, electrical maintenance scaffolding and machinery activities.
  • Implement appropriate control measures, such as PPE requirement (harness, respirators, safety ropes)
  • Monitor correct usage of safety equipment (harness, respirators, safety ropes).
  • Conduct daily toolbox meetings to broef workers on potential hazards and safe practices.
  • Perform routine site inspection to ensure compliance with safety protocols.
  • Stop unsafe work activities immediately and report to higher management.
  • safe work procedures.
  • Handle emergency cases (fire, chemical exposure)
  • Proper handling of tools, and machinery
  • Liase with site engineers, project manager and subcontractors.
  • Liase with regulatory authorities during audits or inspections.
  • Ensure safety signage, emergency response plan and evacuation routes are in place and communicated.
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses and prepare incident reports.
  • Identify root causes and recommend corrective/preventive measures
  • Keep records of incidents and follow-up actions

What we're looking for

  • At least 2-3 years of experience in related field
  • Able to perform task and scope individually and as a team member.
  • Yellow book holder
  • Certified Construction Site Safety Supervisor at a Dosh registered training center.
