Supporting the Facilities & Maintenance Department
  • Support the daily maintenance operations by assisting in task assignments, follow-ups, and providing technical support to ensure all defects are rectified promptly and according to SOPs and timelines.
  • Assist in maintaining the hotel building and facilities, including rooms, public areas, restaurant, courtyard, bar, link bridge, plumbing and sanitary systems, air conditioning, lifts, fire-fighting systems, generator sets, electrical rooms, rooftop, parking bays, utilities, pump rooms, sprinklers, chillers, and hot water systems.
  • Support the execution of the Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) programme and ensure that works are completed as scheduled.
  • Record and track all maintenance activities in the FCS App (Facilities Management system) to ensure timely task completion and compliance with KPIs.
  • Assist in ensuring all safety requirements are followed when performing mechanical and electrical maintenance work.
  • Work closely with the chargeman or consulting engineer during high-voltage electrical system operations.
  • Carry out basic troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance for electrical systems and equipment breakdowns.
  • Assist in handling the 11kV M&E substation operations under supervision of the chargeman or consulting engineer.
  • Record daily meter readings, perform routine electrical checks, and assist in ACB testing for the changeover system.
  • Support compliance efforts related to Suruhanjaya Tenaga Malaysia regulations and other relevant authorities.
  • Ensure safety measures are observed when dismantling or installing any electrical equipment or related devices.
  • Conduct scheduled inspections of all mechanical and electrical systems and report any irregularities.
  • Assist in preparing monthly maintenance reports, including defect logs, repair status, inventory updates, and work-in-progress records.
  • Support inventory management by maintaining proper records of spare parts, tools, and supplier information.
  • Assist in coordinating and monitoring external contractors or service providers to ensure timely and compliant execution of maintenance work.
  • Provide administrative and operational support in organizing shift schedules to ensure 24-hour maintenance coverage.
  • Contribute ideas on improving energy efficiency and cost-effectiveness of maintenance operations.
  • Support in developing and updating departmental SOPs, as well as conducting internal training sessions when required.
  • Monitor and report electricity and water usage to help identify areas for cost reduction.
  • Assist in preparing data for the annual maintenance budget and in tracking expenses throughout the year.
  • Support employee performance review preparations and assist in handling minor departmental issues as directed.
  • Assist in maintaining compliance with building, health, environmental, and safety regulations.
  • Help maintain fire safety documentation, including the fire logbook, and assist during periodic inspections.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities on license renewals, inspections, and compliance matters when required.
  • Perform other tasks or assignments as directed by the Facilities & Maintenance Manager or General Manager.
