Quality Manager

Job Summary :

The Quality Manager is responsible for ensuring that all products and processes within the PCBA manufacturing environment meet strict quality and reliability requirements. This role leads the Quality Assurance team and collaborates with cross-functional departments to establish, maintain, and continually improve the Quality Management System. The position requires strong analytical skills, hands-on problem-solving capability, and solid knowledge of international quality standards and customer expectations.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Quality Management System (QMS)

• Develop, implement, and sustain an effective Quality Management System in compliance with ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 13485, and CE regulatory standards.
• Ensure strict adherence to IPC and J-STD workmanship requirements across production.
• Prepare, coordinate, and lead internal and external quality audits, ensuring full readiness and timely closure of findings.

2. Quality Control & Assurance

• Establish and manage quality inspection frameworks for all PCBA manufacturing stages, ensuring process integrity and product reliability.
• Track and evaluate key quality performance indicators while enforcing robust quality gate controls.
• Lead root cause investigations and manage corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) using systematic problem-solving tools such as 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone analysis.

3. Team Leadership

• Lead, mentor, and empower the QA/QC team to maintain high levels of skill, accountability, and productivity.
• Define clear performance goals, assign responsibilities, and conduct regular performance evaluations and training programs.

4. Continuous Improvement

• Champion continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, enhance process capability, and drive operational excellence.
• Encourage the adoption of quality engineering tools such as FMEA, SPC, Control Plans, and DOE for proactive process management.

5. Customer Complaint & Feedback Handling

• Oversee the management of customer complaints, perform failure analysis, and implement effective corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Serve as the technical liaison with customers and suppliers on all quality-related communications, ensuring transparency and professionalism.

6. Regulatory & Compliance

• Guarantee full compliance with industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety protocols.
• Stay informed on latest regulatory developments and customer specification changes, ensuring timely updates to company practices and documentation.

7. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate quality documentation, including inspection results, audit reports, and CAPA logs.
• Generate and present quality performance summaries and improvement recommendations to senior management for informed decision-making.

Job Requirements :

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical field with relevant certifications (CQE, Six Sigma, ASQ) is an advantage.
• Minimum 5 years of quality management experience in a PCBA Electronic Manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of quality systems, methodologies, and tools: 8D, SPC, FMEA, MSA, Control Plan, CAPA.
• Practical working experience with IPC-A-610 / J-STD-001 standards is required.
• Solid understanding of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 / ISO 13485 / CE requirements.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to train, motivate, and guide teams.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities; able to resolve complex quality issues independently.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
• Commitment to continuous improvement and quality excellence.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: RM13, RM14,500.00 per month
