Financials
- Lead the overall revenue and profitability growth of the business unit under his/her scope of responsibilities. This includes enabling seamless flow of financial information (both leading and lagging indicators) to business stakeholders with detailed information to allow proactive responses to ever changing dynamic commercial and operational situations.
- Oversee and drive all budget and investment decisions to arrive at expected return on investments. Also be able to proactively propose practicable countermeasures to ensure a successful implementation.
- Knowledgeable in areas like commercial finance and supply chain to be able to understand process effectiveness/efficiency improvement opportunities. Ability to understand the end-to end process will allow a faster response to customer requirements.
- Be the custodian of all local and statutory financial reporting and filings.
- Develop budget, operating plans, and forecasts together with operations leaders
Commercial Finance
- Participate in all commercial activities that has been identified by the Business Development and Client Services team to drive margin expansion for the countries and clients under his/her responsibilities.
- Build and enhance relationship with Business Development, Client Services and Operations team to lead and/or facilitate strategic initiatives related to revenue growth, profitability and cash flow management.
- Proactively work with Sales Operations to facilitate the approval workflows to the leaders for approval.
Operational Finance
- Drive as-executed margins to match as-sold margins thru tracking of productivity metrics (measured thru billable hours), cost optimization (cost per unit) and/or price increase. Be able to proactively work with Operations for countermeasures to prevent margin dilution.
- Exhibit strong management skills in effectively communicating business goals, supporting the management team in making critical business decisions, and overseeing financial planning, management, and reporting within the company.
- Provide financial and operational analysis to guide management, operation teams and other functions.
- Have an internal control and compliance mindset
o Evaluate financial documents for accuracy and compliance with local regulations
o Identify the financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk.
o Identify accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved
Tax Generalist
- Overall coordinator either with internal group tax leader or with external vendor to handle taxation matters (where applicable; including but not limited to)
o Preparation and submission of the annual Corporate Tax Return ("CIT"), local transfer pricing report and documentation ("TPD") to the tax authorities, and annual tax provision,
o Liaise with external tax consultants for the CIT and TPD.
o Compilation of all the necessary documents for the local tax authorities for the tax audit purposes
o Familiarity and keep abreast with local Transfer Pricing evolving regulations and mechanism
- Candidate must possess at least a Professional Degree, or Bachelor's Degree in Accounting and/or Finance or equivalent.
- Preferably with more than 12 years working experience in a related field is ideal for this position.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency in IFRS and local GAAP and accounting literature.
- Hands-on working experience with medium to enterprise ERP system.
- Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows, while being able to work within teams that require collaboration to
achieve a win-win solution. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the ability to articulate complex issues in a clear/concise/structured/bulletpoint manner.
- Clear and focus thinking coupled with problem-solving skills. Having out of box mindset in issue resolution will be advantageous
- Having PowerPoint and PowerBI working knowledge will be advantageous edge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the language of supporting market
