About the role

We are seeking a dedicated and organised Production Officer to join our dynamic team at Southern Cable Sdn Bhd in Kuala Ketil, Kedah. In this full-time position, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the efficient production operations of our cable manufacturing facility, ensuring we meet our production targets and deliver high-quality products to our customers.

What you'll be doing

  • Develop and implement production plans to meet daily, weekly and monthly production targets
  • Monitor production workflow and identify opportunities for process improvements
  • Coordinate the timely procurement of raw materials and ensure optimal inventory levels
  • Oversee the work of production teams, providing guidance and support to ensure adherence to quality standards
  • Analyse production data and generate reports to track key performance indicators
  • Collaborate with other departments, such as sales and logistics, to align production activities
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of production processes and systems

What we're looking for

  • Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, or a related field
  • Minimum 1 years of experience in a production, planning or scheduling role within the manufacturing industry
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify and resolve production issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Proficient in using production planning and control software (e.g. ERP systems)
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, and continuous improvement methodologies
