Allowance: RM2,500 + priceless life experience + unlimited sarcasm from Master

Location

1. KL Eco City (convenient, modern, and surrounded by good food — because lawyers need fuel).

2. Taman OUG, Kuala Lumpur (off Jalan Old Klang Road) (more authentic food compared to KL Eco City)

What You'll Be Exposed To

This is not a "sit quietly and observe" kind of pupillage. You will learn to actually do things.

Areas of Law

You'll receive hands-on exposure in:

• Corporate law (incorporations, resolutions, transactions, the works, technology law)
• Conveyancing (SPA, loan docs, stamping, the black magic of land offices)
• Non-contentious litigation (Wills & probate, family law, letters of demand, negotiations - might come in handy to negotiate with your master for a good starting salary once you're called to the Bar)
• Regulatory & compliance (bonus: you won't fall asleep, we promise)

Firm Management Exposure

Ever wondered how a law firm really runs? You'll learn:

• Setting up workflows & systems
• Managing deadlines without panicking & getting stinky armpits
• Billing & client management basics
• How to avoid chaos before it starts (or at least minimise it)
• How to not piss-off a client

Training You Will Receive

We believe in producing chambering students who can walk into the legal world confidently — not trembling like an unattended jelly.

Expect training in:

• Interpersonal & communication skills (talk like a lawyer, not like a WhatsApp chatbot)
• File management & work prioritisation
• Admin functions (because even great lawyers need to know how things get done)
• Using ChatGPT & AI effectively (your master approves of technological shortcuts… the smart kind)
• Legal documentation drafting – clear, precise, and persuasive
• Legal documentation & file management software
• How to write emails that sound professional (but human)
• Problem-solving and critical thinking
• Time management (aka how not to miss deadlines)
• Professional ethics & practical decision-making

Bonus skill you didn't know you needed:

• How to survive a master with a great sense of humour

What We're Looking For

• A law graduate eligible for chambering
• Good command of English (BM also appreciated)
• Responsible, proactive, and willing to learn
• Not allergic to work
• Not terrified of clients
• Able to take jokes (because… master)
• Can think independently and ask smart questions
• Bonus: can use Microsoft Word, Excel and Nitro PDF without crying
