SEN Therapist

About the role

Eduguru Childcare Services Sdn Bhd, a leading provider of early childhood education, is seeking talented and dedicated SEN Therapists and SEN Teachers to join our teams in Kuala Lumpur (Mont Kiara, Sri Hartamas, KL Sentral, Bangsar, Sentul). As a full-time SEN Therapist/ SEN Teacher, you will play a crucial role in supporting the educational and developmental needs of children with special educational needs (SEN) within our inclusive, nurturing childcare environment.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting comprehensive assessments to identify the unique needs and goals of each SEN child
• Developing and implementing individualised therapy plans to address the specific challenges faced by SEN children
• Delivering one-on-one and group sessions, focusing on areas such as speech and language, sensory integration, and behavioural support
• Collaborating closely with parents, teachers, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to the child's development
• Maintaining detailed records and progress reports to track the child's development and communicate effectively with all stakeholders
• Participating in continuous professional development to stay up-to-date with the latest best practices in SEN therapy

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field, such as Psychology or Special Education
• At least 1 year of experience working as a SEN Therapist or in a similar role, preferably in an early childhood education setting. Fresh graduates are strongly encouraged to apply.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of various SEN conditions, including autism, developmental delays, and learning disabilities
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with children, parents, and colleagues
• A patient, empathetic, and child-centred approach, with a genuine passion for supporting the growth and development of SEN children
• Proficiency in English, spoken and written.
