JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Network Engineer to design, implement, and maintain robust and efficient network solutions. The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Layer 3 routing protocols, advanced switching technologies, and network security measures. Additionally, the role involves project coordination to support planning, execution, and delivery of network-related initiatives. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic environment and collaborate with a talented team.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING

1. Network Design and Implementation

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Layer 3 network infrastructures for optimal performance and scalability.
  • Configure and troubleshoot dynamic routing protocols such as OSPF, EIGRP, BGP, and RIP.
  • Implement VLANs, inter-VLAN routing, and Layer 3 switching for efficient traffic flow and segmentation.

2. Routing and Switching

  • Configure and optimize Layer 3 switches for enterprise LAN and WAN environments.
  • Implement Layer 2/3 technologies, including Spanning Tree Protocol (STP) and EtherChannel.
  • Manage routing tables, route redistribution, and summarization for seamless network operations.

3. Network Security and Quality of Service (QoS)

  • Configure Access Control Lists (ACLs) and implement security measures to safeguard the network.
  • Develop and enforce QoS policies to prioritize critical network traffic.

4. Troubleshooting and Optimization

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting of Layer 3/2 network issues, including routing loops, convergence

delays, and switching failures.

  • Ensure high availability and optimize network performance through redundancy protocols like HSRP,

VRRP, and GLBP.

5. Documentation and Compliance

  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of network configurations, topologies, and changes.
  • Ensure compliance with industry standards and organizational best practices.

6. Collaboration and Team Support

  • Collaborate with IT teams, project managers, and stakeholders to meet network requirements and resolve

connectivity issues.

  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior team members.

EDUCATION & REQUIREMENT

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5 years of hands-on experience in Layer 3 networking and advanced switching technologies.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent is highly desirable.

TECHNICAL SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

  • Proficiency in dynamic routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, RIP).
  • Strong knowledge of Layer 3 switching, VLANs, and inter-VLAN routing.
  • Hands-on experience with redundancy protocols (HSRP, VRRP, GLBP).
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds).
  • Experience with Cisco products, including switches and firewalls.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Up to RM6,500.00 per month
