Job Summary
The QA Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the Quality Assurance department within a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for supervising QA staff, ensuring compliance with quality standards, leading audits, managing documentation, and driving continuous improvement initiatives. The QA Supervisor works closely with production, engineering, and supply chain teams to ensure all products meet company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise the OAQC team to ensure effective coordination, communication, and performance management.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance quality assurance processes, aligning them with organizational goals.

- Lead process improvement initiatives, identifying opportunities for optimization, efficiency gains, and cost reduction in quality assurance activities.
- Drive the development, implementation, and maintenance of the Quality Management System (QMS), including document control, calibration management, and non-conformance reporting.
- Provide leadership in training and development activities for the QAQC team, ensuring continuous skill enhancement and knowledge transfer.
- Lead investigations into quality incidents, non-conformities, and customer complaints, applying root cause analysis techniques to implement corrective actions.
- Offer expert guidance on the selection, calibration, and use of measurement equipment, ensuring adherence to metrology standards
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, emerging technologies, and regulatory changes related to quality assurance
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, senior management, suppliers, and customers, communicating quality-related issues, findings, and recommendations clearly.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety and quality standards in all quality assurance activities, fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.
- Evaluate the performance of QAQC team members, provide feedback, mentorship, and coaching, and implement strategies for performance improvement and career development.
- Perform any other duties and tasks as assigned by superiors to support the overall quality assurance and control efforts of the organization.
Qualification & Skills
Technical Skills
- Knowledge of quality control processes, inspection methods, and standards (ISO, or industry-specific standards).
- Proficiency in using QC tools.
Analytical Abilities
- Strong problem-solving skills to identify defects and root causes.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports.
Management & Leadership Skills
- Ability to supervise, train, and motivate QC staff.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Decision-making and conflict resolution skills.
Communication Skills
- Clear reporting of quality issues to production and management.
- Ability to write and maintain documentation (SOPs, inspection reports).
Experience Required
- Prior experience in a QC role, typically 2-3 years for a supervisor position.
- Experience in leading a team of QC inspectors.
- Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001 etc.).
- Experience in conducting audits and implementing corrective actions.
